Bernard sent a new quiz. Surprise, I'm a postmodernist! Does that mean I get to be really cool, act disaffected and smugly superior and wear lots of black...er, nevermind. "Postmodernism is the belief in complete open interpretation. You see the universe as a collection of information with varying ways of putting it together. There is no absolute truth for you; even the most hardened facts are open to interpretation. Meaning relies on context and even the language you use to describe things should be subject to analysis." The quiz definitions are unfortunately not entirely accurate, but still a fun quiz.

Postmodernist 94%
Existentialist 94%
Idealist 75%
Romanticist 75%
Cultural Creative 75%
Materialist 63%
Modernist 56%
Fundamentalist 6%

Couple of funny things today.
First, Maria gave me a B&N gift certificate for graduation. I've been browsing for books I want and like. I checked my Amazon list of recommended books. Here is a typical excerpt of books recommended to me and, yes, they pretty show up in this sort of order:
Natasha's Dance : A Cultural History of Russia
How to Start a Solo Law Practice
Linear B and Related Scripts (Reading the Past, Vol. 1)
Medea (Dover Thrift Editions)
Tie Me Up, Tie Me Down [supernatural romance]
Schaum's Outline of Russian Grammar
Bellydance : A Guide to Middle Eastern Dance, Its Music, Its Culture and Costume
A Field Guide to Demons, Fairies, Fallen Angels, and Other Subversive Spirits
The Japanese Way of Justice: Prosecuting Crime in Japan (Studies on Law and Social Control)
Echoes of a Native Land : Two Centuries of a Russian Village [Just bought it]
Game Theory and Political Theory : An Introduction
Characters and Viewpoint (Elements of Fiction Writing)
Logic of Collective Action: Public Goods and the Theory of Groups (Harvard Economic Studies)
Collapse: How Societies Choose to Fail or Succeed

Sort of quirky, I think, and actually does reflect the books I've been reading recently.
